A Poem by Dan

And so the feelings grow making it harder

everyday to live a life of solitude

Within these walls of my mind.

 

And yet I feel myself reaching out to the

darkened corners desperately grasping for shreds

Of a life that I could have, should have.

 

But my affliction grabs me again from all directions,

dragging me kicking and screaming

From my comforting thoughts tearing away all

that is and was.
